Questions
- What is a token?
- Models read and write text in small pieces called tokens. One token is about three quarters of a word, so 1 million tokens is roughly 750,000 words of reading and writing combined.
- What does the dollar amount on each plan mean?
- It is the most model spend your plan covers each month when Nodist's own provider keys make the call. Whichever runs out first, tokens or dollars, pauses platform calls until the next period or until you add credit.
- Do my own API keys count against my plan?
- No. When you connect your own OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or other key, the provider bills you directly and the call never uses your plan's tokens or dollars. The same goes for local and self-hosted models such as Ollama, LM Studio or your own GPU. Shared workflow links that run on your keys are the one exception: visitors' runs count toward your plan, so a popular link can never run up an unlimited bill.
- What are platform credits?
- Platform credits are usage on Nodist's keys: your plan's monthly allowance plus any credit packs or promo credit you add. They are the easy way to start without signing up for every provider.
- What happens when I run out?
- AI calls pause until your usage resets. You can upgrade, buy a credit pack, or wait for the reset date shown on your billing page. Usage on your own keys and local models never counts toward the allowance, so only calls on Nodist's keys can use it up.
- Can I switch plans?
- Yes, any time from the billing page. Upgrades are charged the prorated difference right away. Downgrades apply a credit to your next invoice. You never end up with two subscriptions.
- How do credit packs work?
- Packs of $10, $25 and $50 add model spend and tokens to your current usage period. Credit you buy is valid until your usage resets.
- Do you offer promo codes?
- Sometimes. Enter a code in the Redeem a code field on your billing page. Credit codes apply right away. Discount codes apply when you pick a paid plan.
